Hi everyone, this is my second winter in Adelaide and it has been amazing so far. I come from Indonesia, a summer country with only two seasons; summer and rainy. Last year I saw snow and it was a dream come true!
Skating in a Winter Wonderland
This year was another special experience for me, enjoying winter at the Bay (aka Glenelg)! Can you imagine how freezing it was? You don’t need to worry since they have a Winter Wonderland, an event designed for enjoying winter in Adelaide with so many fun activities – ice skating and even tobogganing!
This event is ongoing now until 23 July 2017, located right by Glenelg Jetty (you’ll see it as you hop off the tram at the last station, Moseley Square). Even though it was raining outside when we went there, I was so happy to spend time with my friends, celebrate the end of exams and enjoy our winter break! Special thanks to Emma who taught me how to ice skate and kept me by her side just to make sure I was okay! She is my “ice-skating lifesaver” lol!
Get your skates on!
Winter Wonderland provides you with ice skates and an hour’s skating, all you have to do is book at this website!
Don’t miss it mates. There are just three more days of Glenelg’s Winter Wonderland. Grab your friends and have fun together experiencing a great winter’s day at the Bay!
