Resume Writing for Professional Jobs

This workshop is designed for students or recent graduates who want to update their resume ready to apply for professional jobs. We will cover how to include the experience that you have from internships and other roles. You might be surprised what experience you have for your resume. Finding a Job

Having the right strategy for finding a job is important.  This workshop will cover a number of different strategies that others have tried and work here in Adelaide.  While there are no miracles, only hard work, once you have the right strategy that works for your industry and degree, it will be easier to get an interview.  

This workshop will cover:

•    Using your strengths in your job search

•    Deciding the best job search strategy for you

•    Unadvertised jobs and how to find them

•    How to use to your advantage


Preparing Your Cover Letter

Thursday 8 September, 3.30pm-5pm

This workshop will help you write a strong cover letter for any job. You will learn how to identify job requirements and how to present your own abilities to fulfill those. Come along and learn how to improve your cover letter and give yourself the best chance of an interview.


The ABC’s of Australian Business Culture

Tuesday 13 September, 3.30pm-5pm

This workshop will teach you about business etiquette, otherwise known as what’s acceptable and expected in a professional environment, as this varies from country to country. In this workshop, you will learn about the main cultural differences found in Australian workplaces and some very practical tips that will help you fit into a new workplace environment. You will learn top tips to help you in your journey at work in Australia.


How to Nail an Interview

Tuesday 27 September, 3pm-5pm

In this workshop you will learn what is being evaluated in a face-to-face interview, what are the main questions you are likely to be asked and how to answer them. This workshop will also give you the opportunity to participate in a mock interview and gain helpful feedback.


Getting the Skills You Need For The Job You Want

Thursday 6 October, 3.30pm-5pm

We all have skills. Some we are very good at, and some we need to further develop. This workshop will help you identify how you can plan and achieve the required level of skills for the job you plan to apply for once you graduate.
