About Regional Careers Tours
These projects aim to provide students and recent graduates with the opportunity to:
- Understand regional work opportunities
- Meet potential employers
- Meet members of the local and multicultural communities
- Take part in site visits at local organisations
- Tour the city/towns and find out more about the region and its lifestyle
If you would like the opportunity to be considered for these tours or other events to find out more about the career and job opportunities available in the regions of South Australia, please register your interest.
Further details will be emailed to eligible students once each event is confirmed. To be eligible, your studies and/or career outcomes must be relevant to the industries in focus for each event.
On 21–23 July 2026
Join us on a 3-day, 2-night careers tour to the Upper Spencer Gulf and Eyre Peninsula regions, designed to connect final-year international students and recent graduates with employers across Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln.
This tour offers the opportunity to explore diverse career pathways in the following fields:
- Health & Care, including allied health, medicine, nursing, social work and community services, and more.
- Education & Teaching, including early childhood, primary and secondary.
- Engineering, with a resources and energy focus.
- Project & Environmental Management, with a resources and energy focus.
- Urban Planning
- Accounting and Finance
- Construction trades
Tour details
Dates: Tuesday, 21 July to Thursday, 23 July 2026
Time: Departing at 7.00 am on Tuesday and returning at approximately 7.00 pm on Thursday (Adelaide Central Bus Station)
Registration fee:
This is an expression of interest. Students who are selected will be required to pay a $75 deposit to confirm their participation. Students who attend the tour will receive $25 back after the tour. Transport, accommodation and most meals are included.
Key dates
- Expressions of interest close: Sunday, 14 June
- Successful applicants notified: Thursday, 18 June, with a payment link to secure a place and the draft tour itinerary
- Refunds: Note that the booking deposit fee is fully refundable until Sunday, 12 July 2026.
Selected students will also be required to attend a compulsory Job Ready workshop on Wednesday, 15 July, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
