  • Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100

Course Details

Get equipped with an array of skills necessary for a career in screen-based media. You will study scriptwriting, cinematography, creative collaboration, editing, sound, lighting and directing. Graduates emerge ready for a rewarding career in screen with specialised skills for associated creative areas.

What you will study

First year

A typical first year may include:

  • Key skills in screen production including camera work, sound, lighting and editing.
  • Topics in screen and media studies, as well as an introduction to the creative arts and multimedia.

Second year

A typical second year may include:

  • Acquiring screen production skills.
  • Studying genres of film and scriptwriting.
  • Building the connections between creative arts theory and practice.

Third year

A typical third year may include:

  • Adapting stories for the screen, along with a continuation of your screen production studies.
  • Exhibiting your screen techniques and skills in a 16mm film, showing them at the end-of-year showcase.
