International student pathway to the first year at UniSA
The SAIBT Early Transition Program provides a pathway into selected School of Engineering and School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, and Health Science programs at the University of South Australia. The Early Transition Program provides foundation knowledge, enabling international students to undertake select bachelor programs offered by the University of South Australia.
The Early Transition Program – Engineering Stream provides foundation knowledge in mathematics, physics and academic skills, enabling students to undertake a range of UniSA Bachelor degrees in disciplines such as Aviation, Construction and Science.
All Engineering students are required to complete the tertiary preparation modules Mathematics for Study (MMS001) in their first trimester and Language for Study (LGS001) in their second trimester. Although these modules do not count towards the study load or GPA, a non-graded pass is required for the program of study.
The Early Transition Program – Health Science Stream provides foundation knowledge in psychological, physiological, social and cultural elements involved in health care. The Early Transition Program (Health Science) enables students to undertake a range of University of South Australia bachelor degrees such as Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Nutrition and Food Sciences, Laboratory Medicine and Biomedical Science.
All Health Sciences students are required to complete the tertiary preparation module Mathematics for Study (MMS001) in their first trimester and Language for Study (LGS001) in their second trimester. Although this module does not count towards the study load or GPA, a non-graded pass is required for the program of study.
The Early Transition Program – Arts Stream provides a pathway into School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of South Australia. The Early Transition Program (Arts) provides foundation knowledge in communication, media, design and academic skills, enabling students to commence their first year of a bachelor program, as listed below.
